Where to Find This Week's Draw

Nothing derails a Saturday morning faster than turning up to the wrong ground at the wrong time. At Marlin Coast Rangers Football Club, we keep football fixtures in Cairns on one page, so families aren't hunting back through social media posts to find a kick-off time. You'll find the current draw, recent results and ladder positions for our teams here, updated as Football Queensland releases them. Ladders move a lot in the middle of a season, so it's worth checking again on match day rather than relying on last week's screenshot. Following the Season

A few things are worth knowing before you plan a weekend around a fixture.

  1. Draws can change late. Football Queensland occasionally reschedules matches for ground availability or weather, so check the fixture again the day before.

  2. Results and ladders update after the round. A position won't reflect a match until it's been confirmed, which usually happens once all games in that round are played.

  3. Wet weather affects fields, not just games. Ground closures are announced separately from fixture changes, so check both if the forecast turns.

  4. Age groups run to different schedules. MiniRoos, junior competitive and FQPL squads don't all play at the same time or on the same day.

FAQs

Most seasons see at least a handful of changes, usually caused by ground closures, weather or competition rescheduling. Fixtures are most reliable in the days immediately before a match rather than weeks out.

A ladder ranks teams in a competition by points earned from wins and draws, with goal difference used to separate teams level on points. It reflects only matches that have been played and confirmed.

Junior competitive and FQPL age groups generally have published results and ladders, because those competitions are graded. MiniRoos is non-competitive, so scores and ladders aren't recorded at those ages.
