How to Join the Club
Signing up for a season shouldn't take an evening of guesswork. At Marlin Coast Rangers Football Club, football registration in Cairns runs online, and we take care of the rest once you're through the form. You'll need the player's date of birth so they land in the right age group, and returning players will usually have an account from last season already. Registrations open ahead of the pre-season and close once squads are finalised, so it pays to go early if you have a particular age group in mind. Before You Register
A short checklist saves most of the back and forth.
Have the player's date of birth handy. Age groups are set by birth year rather than school year, so it's the one detail that determines which team a player joins.
Decide between community and competitive. From U13 there's a choice between junior competitive football and trialling for an FQPL squad, and the two carry different commitments.
Check whether a sport voucher applies. Queensland runs voucher programs that can reduce registration costs for eligible families, and eligibility is worth confirming before you pay.
Register the whole family in one sitting. Siblings often play in different age groups, and doing them together avoids duplicate accounts and mismatched details.
